Chorizo Stuffing
This dish is very versitile on heat and taste. Your guest will keep asking what did you put in this. Great twist on a old must have at Thanksgiving. It kicks it up a notch.Enjoy Ingredients
- 1 LB. CHORIZO (MEXICAN SAUSAGE, HOT OR MILD, OR A LITTLE OF BOTH FOR MEDIUM)
- 2 CUPS CELERY
- 1.5 CUP ONIONS
- 1 TBSP. SAGE
- 1 TBSP. POULTRY SEASONING
- LARGE BAG STUFFING BREAD
- 3 CUPS CHICKEN BROTH (I HEAT IT TO SIMMER, CUTS DOWN COOKING TIME)
Directions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES FAHARENHEIT
- SAUTE CHORIZO UNTIL ALMOST DONE BREAKING IT UP AS COOKING, 7-10 MINUTES
- ADD ONIONS, CELERY AND SPICES
- IN A LARGE BOWL ADD COOKED ITEMS TO STUFFING, MIX WELL
- ADD BROTH
- COOK IN OVEN ALONG WITH TURKEY OR ON ITS OWN COVERED WITH FOIL IN GLASS OR ROSTER PAN.
