Chocolate Pecan Pralines
Ingredients
- 20 x pralines
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 stk unsalted butter
- 1 c. evaporated lowfat milk
- 1/2 lb semisweet chocolate, coarsely minced
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- 1 c. pecan pcs
- 2 c. pecan halves
Directions
- Combine sugar, butter and evaporated lowfat milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring to a boil; lower heat to a simmer. Add in chocolate and stir constantly till temperature reaches 238 degrees on a candy thermometer.
- Stir in vanilla, pecan pcs and pecan halves. Simmer an additional minute and remove from heat. Allow to cold for 5 min, stirring occasionally.
- Drop pralines by heaping Tbsp. onto parchment or possibly wax paper and allow to sit at room temperature till pralines are set up. Store in an airtight container.
