Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Margarine
  • 2 ounce Unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 1/2 c. Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 c. Brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 c. Buttermilk
  • 1 lrg Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 c. Chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c. Walnuts, minced
  • 1/4 c. Margarine, softened
  • 2 Tbsp. Cocoa
  • 2 1/2 c. Powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp Instant coffee
  • 1 dsh Salt
  • 1/4 c. Lowfat milk, approximately

Directions

  1. Cookies: Heat margarine & chocolate together. Cold. 10 min. Add in brown sugar to chocolate mix. Add in egg, vanilla & buttermilk. Add in dry ingredients. Stir in chips & nuts. Drop on lightly greased cookie sheets.
  2. Bake 375F for 8 - 10 min. Cold; frost.
  3. Frosting: Blend all ingredients together. Use only sufficient lowfat milk to make frosting spreadable.
