Chocolate Iced Coffee
Ingredients
- 3 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. grnd coffee
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 3/4 tsp grnd cinnamon
- 2 c. half-and-half
- 1/3 c. chocolate syrup
Directions
- Bring 3 1/2 c. water and coffee to a boil in a saucepan; remove from heat, and let stand 10 min. Pour mix through a fine wire-mesh strainer into a bowl, discarding coffee grounds.
- Stir 2 Tbsp. sugar and 3/4 tsp. cinnamon into coffee till sugar dissolves; let cold. Stir in half-and-half and syrup; refrigerate2 hrs. Serve over ice.
- This recipe yields 2 qts.
- Comments: To keep the drink from diluting, freeze cubes of leftover coffee and half-and-half to use in place of ice.
- Yield: 2 qts
