Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Spice Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

2 c. shortening 3 c. brown sugar 4 Large eggs 1 c. buttermilk or possibly sour lowfat milk 3 1/2 c. sifted flour 2 teaspoon soda

2 teaspoon baking pwdr 2 teaspoon salt 6 c. quick cooking rolled oats 2 teaspoon cinnamon 2 teaspoon nutmeg 12 ounce. chocolate chips

Directions

1. Cream shortening, sugar and Large eggs. Stir in buttermilk.
2. Sift together the dry ingredients and stir into the creamed mix.
3. Stir in the oatmeal and chocolate chips.
4. Drop from a tsp. 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 min. Makes 6 dozen.
