Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients
- 3/4 c. white sugar
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. shortening (part lard) (I use 1/2 c. butter, 1/2 c. Crisco shortening)
- 2 Large eggs
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 2 c. oatmeal (quick oatmeal)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Chocolate chips
- Raisins, coconut & nuts (optional)
Directions
- Mix white and brown sugar, shortening and Large eggs. Then add in rest of ingredients. Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet (lightly greased). Bake at 375 degrees for 8 min, switching from top to bottom racks 4 min each, till brown.
