  • Chocolate chip and pecan cookies

    Ingredients

    • 8 Tbl. unsalted butter
    • 3/4 C. sugar
    • 1 C. brown sugar, packed
    • 1 Tsp. salt (or a little more, I like salty cookies)
    • 1 Tsp. vanilla
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 1/2 C. flour
    • 1 Tsp. baking SODA (trust me, with powder it ain't good)
    • 1/2 Tsp. cinnamon
    • 1/4 Tsp. ground nutmeg
    • 1/8 Tsp. ground clove
    • 1 C. chopped pecans
    • 12 Oz. chocolate chips (ghiradelli semi-sweet is my favorite)

    Directions

    1. -Preheat oven 350
    2. -Beat butter until fluffy
    3. -Add sugars, salt, vanilla and beat 3 min.
    4. -Stir in eggs, one at a time
    5. -Sift together (I didn't do this b/c I don't have a sifter and they were fine) flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove in separate bowl
    6. -Add half flour mixture to butter on low speed
    7. -Add second half on low speed
    8. -Stir in pecans and chocolate chips
    9. -Drop tablespoonfuls onto lined baking sheet
    10. -Bake 10-12 minutes
