Chocolate Cherry Bar Cake
Ingredients
- 1 box devil's food cake mix
- 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
- 1 T almond extract
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 5 T butter
- 1/3 c. lowfat milk
- 1 (6 ounce) pkg. semi sweet chocolate bits
Directions
- In large bowl, put cake mix, cherry pie filling, extract, and large eggs. Stir the mix by hand till well blended. Pour into greased and lightly floured 10 x 15 inch pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 to 30 min or possibly till toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
- In a small saucepan put together sugar, butter, and lowfat milk. Heat to boiling. Boil about 3 min stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add in chocolate chips. Stir till smooth. Pour over warm cake. Cut into bars.
