  • Chocolate Apple Crisp

    Ingredients

    • 1 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
    • 1 c. Firmly packed brown sugar
    • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
    • 1/4 tsp Salt
    • 3/4 c. Butter
    • 1 1/2 c. Quick oats, uncooked
    • 1 pkt Nestle toll house semi-sweet chocolate mini morsels, divided (12 ounce)
    • 3 x Apples, unpeeled if you like, minced
    • 1 c. Pecans or possibly walnuts, minced

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 375'F. In large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking soda and salt. With pastry blender or possibly 2 knives, cut in butter till mix resembles fine crumbs. Stir in oats; press half of oat mix into greased 13x9" baking pan.
    2. To remaining oat mix, add in Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate mini morsels, apples and pecans; stir to combine. Sprinkle over base.
    3. Bake 35-40 min till lightly browned. Cold slightly; cut into squares.
    4. Makes about 15 servings.
