  • Chinese Pepper Steak

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound round steak
    • 1 onion
    • 2 green peppers
    • 1 can stewed tomatoes
    • Grnd black pepper
    • 1 clove garlic or possibly equivalent
    • 2 beef bouillon cubes
    • 3 tbsp. soy sauce
    • Paprika
    • 5 tbsp. cornstarch

    Directions

    1. Saute/fry cubes of meat, onion and pepper in small amount of canola oil. Sprinkle with black pepper, garlic and paprika. Dissolve bouillon cubes in 1 c. of warm water. When steak and vegetables have browned, add in dissolved bouillon. Simmer 10 min. Add in can of stewed tomatoes. Start 20 minute rice.
    2. Mix cornstarch, soy sauce and 1/4-1/3 c. of water together. Add in to main mix. Stir till sauce thickens. Serve over rice from the kitchen or possibly arrange on rice on a platter with fresh green beans in an outer ring.
