Chili-Peppered Hot Wings
Flavorably seasoned chicken wings great for a party or just for a family night at home, paired with some yummy crispy Sweet Potato Fries and a tangy dipping sauce! Ingredients
- 2 pounds Chicken wings (split and clipped)
- 1 tablespoons of Garlic Powder
- 1tablespoons of Onion Powder
- 1 tablespoon of Cayenne Pepper
- 1 tablespoon of fresh Cracked Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon of ground Sage
- 1 teaspoon of Salt
- 2 tablespoons of Chili Powder
- 4 cups of Vegetable Oil
- Lemon-Pepper Seasoning to taste (optional)
Directions
- Clean 2 pounds of chicken wings splitting the wings in half, discarding wing-tips. Heat vegetable oil in an electric deep fryer or a deep cast iron pot to 350 degrees. Mix Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Cayenne Pepper, Black Pepper, Sage, and Salt in a large mixing bowl. (add more or less Cayenne pepper for heat). Coat wings with dry mix. Top wings with Chili Powder.
- Fry wings 4 to 5 at a time for 5 to 6 minutes. Remove wings from oil onto paper towel to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with Lemon Pepper Seasoning. Continue frying remaining wings in batches.
