Ingredients

  • 4 tsp Margarine
  • 1 c. Onion -- minced
  • 1 x Garlic clove -- chopped
  • 8 ounce Grnd turkey -- cooked and Crumbled
  • 2 x Mild canned green chilies Minced
  • 4 tsp Tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Chili pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 dsh Salt and grnd pepper
  • 2 ounce Cheddar cheese -- shredded
  • 3/4 c. Flour -- all purpose
  • 1/2 c. Buttermilk
  • 2 x Large eggs -- large
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In 8-inch skillet, heat 1 teaspoon margarine over medium heat till bubbly and warm. Add in onions, bell pepper, and garlic and saute/fry till pepper is tender, about 3 min. Add in meat, chilies, tomato paste, chili pwdr, 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 min to blend flavors. Transfer mix to 9-inch pie plate and sprinkle with cheese. In blender, combine remaining 3 teaspoon margarine with the flour, buttermilk, Large eggs, baking soda, and dash of salt. Process till smooth.
