Chicken and Noodles
This is my grandmother's recipe Ingredients
- Eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Baking powder
- Flour
- Water
Directions
- To every 3 egg yolks (save the whites for a wonderful angel food cake) add baking powder. Dip the tines of a fork into the can, tap on the side and add to eggs.
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Add 1/2 egg shell of water to every 3 egg yolks.
- Mix well, begin adding flour to mix, adding until "dough follows the fork around the bowl."
- Turn dough onto floured counter, adding until dough feels like a rubber band.
- Roll out dough to desired thickness (I like mine thin)
- Cut strips of the dough to desired width (about 2 inches)
- Stack and cut to desired width (again, I like mine thin)
- Drop by handful into boiling chicken stock, add chicken and cook about 1 minutes stirring frequently.
