Chicken Almond Wrap
I've had this recipe for awhile now, I don't remember where I got it but It still sounds good!! Something different for lunch! Ingredients
- 1 pkg of pre-cooked Chicken (white, oven roasted), Or leftover chicken, that's what I would use to make it healthier.
- 2 large raw Carrots shredded
- 1 can sliced Water chestnuts chopped
- 1 sm pkg slided Almonds (about 1/2 cup)
- 1 Red Onions, raw, chopped
- 1 cup Iceberg Lettuce shredded
- 3 slice (1 oz) Swiss Cheese Reduced fat cut in small strips
- 3 tbsp Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pkg flour tortilla, 8 inch, 8 servings
Directions
- Combine all ingredients (except for tortillas) in a large bowl and toss so that all is lightly coated with dressing.
- In a skillet warm tortillas (so they are easier to handle) while they are warm scoop about a 1/2 cup of chicken mixture onto tortilla and wrap like a burrito.
- Wrap in foil and place in 325F Preheated oven for while you are assembling the others. I left them in the oven a few minutes so the cheese could melt. Serve while warm.
