  • Chicken a la Pobre

    Chicken made into a sumptuous meal.

    Ingredients

    • 1 kilo whole chicken, deboned except for wings (cut into 4 portions)
    • Marinade:
    • Juice of 1/2 dayap or lemon
    • 1 tbsp seasoned pepper
    • 4 tbsp oyster sauce
    • 4 tbsp butter 4 tbsp minced garlic

    Directions

    1. Marinate chicken in ref overnight
    2. Heat hot plates on 1 burner each.
    3. Put 1 tbsp butter on each plate
    4. Add 1 tbsp minced garlic on butter oil to brown
    5. Set aside garlic when browned on one corner of hot oil
    6. Immediately put the chicken steaks on each plate, skin side down
    7. When hot plates are very hot, lower heat
    8. Turn the chicken over after 5 minutes or when skin side is cooked
    9. Serve immediately while it is still sizzling
    10. Sprinkle with minced fried garlic (optional)
