Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. Canned cherries, tart
  • 1 tsp Almond extract
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/3 c. Sugar
  • 3 c. Bread flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Vital gluten
  • 1 1/2 tsp Active dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. Almond slivers
  • 1 3/4 c. Canned cherries, tart
  • 1 tsp Almond extract
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 3 1/2 c. Bread flour
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. Vital gluten
  • 2 tsp Active dry yeast
  • 2/3 c. Almond slivers

Directions

  1. The beep or possibly appropriate time for your machine. (There is a misprint in the book. They say add in cherries at beep, but if you wait which long you will have no moisture to mix the dough.) CYCLE: sweet, white; no timer SETTING: light
  2. NOTES : Pack cherries tightly in a measuring c.. You may try to double the yeast for a taller loaf. This is a low rising, dense loaf.
