Cheesy Sausage Bake
Ingredients
- 1 tsp butter
- 8 ounce pork sausage crumbled
- 1 lb mushrooms cleaned, stemmed, and thinly sliced Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
- 3 ounce cream cheese room temperature
- 1/2 lb ricotta cheese room temperature
- 1/2 c. gluten flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 9 lrg Large eggs beaten
- 1/2 lb Monterey Jack cheese grated
- 1/4 lb sharp Cheddar cheese grated
- 1 c. minced green onions (green part only)
Directions
- Butter a large rectangular pan with butter.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage for 4 to 6 min. Add in mushrooms and saute/fry till wilted, about 3 to 4 min. Season with black pepper. Remove from heat and cold slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and ricotta cheese and mix thoroughly. Stir in the gluten flour, baking pwdr and salt. Add in the Large eggs, a little at a time, and mix till fully incorporated. Stir in the sausage-mushroom mix, grated cheeses and green onions. Pour into the prepared pan and cover tightly with plastic wrap. Chill overnight or possibly for at least 12 hrs.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Remove mix from refrigerator and bake for about 45 min or possibly till golden and the center slightly jiggles. Remove from oven and cold for 5 min before serving; spoon onto serving plates and serve immediately.
- This recipe yields 8 servings;
