  • Cheesy Sausage Bake

    Ingredients

    • 1 tsp butter
    • 8 ounce pork sausage crumbled
    • 1 lb mushrooms cleaned, stemmed, and thinly sliced Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
    • 3 ounce cream cheese room temperature
    • 1/2 lb ricotta cheese room temperature
    • 1/2 c. gluten flour
    • 1 Tbsp. baking pwdr
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 9 lrg Large eggs beaten
    • 1/2 lb Monterey Jack cheese grated
    • 1/4 lb sharp Cheddar cheese grated
    • 1 c. minced green onions (green part only)

    Directions

    1. Butter a large rectangular pan with butter.
    2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage for 4 to 6 min. Add in mushrooms and saute/fry till wilted, about 3 to 4 min. Season with black pepper. Remove from heat and cold slightly.
    3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and ricotta cheese and mix thoroughly. Stir in the gluten flour, baking pwdr and salt. Add in the Large eggs, a little at a time, and mix till fully incorporated. Stir in the sausage-mushroom mix, grated cheeses and green onions. Pour into the prepared pan and cover tightly with plastic wrap. Chill overnight or possibly for at least 12 hrs.
    4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    5. Remove mix from refrigerator and bake for about 45 min or possibly till golden and the center slightly jiggles. Remove from oven and cold for 5 min before serving; spoon onto serving plates and serve immediately.
    6. This recipe yields 8 servings;
