These knot are fabulous with a hot cup of soup or with a big plate of spaghetti.

    • 1 1/4 cups room temperature milk
    • 3 1/2 cups white bread flour
    • 2 teaspoons salt
    • 1 teaspoon Italian seasonings
    • 2 teaspoons sugar
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 package instant dry yeast
    • 3 tablespoons butter melted
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese

    Directions

    1. In a large bowl combine milk, flour, salt, Italian seasoning, sugar, oil and yeast. Beat until smooth and a soft dough forms 2-5 minutes. Turn out on a floured surface and kneed until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl turning once to grease the top. Cover and allowed to rise in a a warm place until doubled in size, about one hour. Grease two cookie sheets. Set aside. Punch dough down and divide dough into into 12 equal portions. Roll each portion of the dough into a long rope shape. Gently tie each one loosely into a single knot. Place on the cookie sheets and allow to rise in a warm place until doubled in size, approximately 1 hour.
    2. Preheat oven to 375.
    3. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. While they are baking in the oven combine the melted butter and garlic powder. When you remove the knots from the oven brush them with the butter/garlic mixture and sprinkle them with a pinch or two of Parmesan cheese.

Veronica, these Knots look really wonderful. I have printed it to make soon, but wish I had found the recipe last night, when I wanted to make pepperoni cheese sticks
