Cheese Stuffed Shells
Ingredients
- 1 lb Bulk Italian sausage
- 1 lrg Onion minced
- 1 pkt Frzn spinach cooked and well liquid removed
- 1 pkt (8-ounce) cream cheese softened
- 1 x Egg beaten
- 2 c. Shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 2 c. Shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 c. Cottage cheese
- 1/4 c. Grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp Salt and pepper
- 1/8 tsp Grnd cinnamon (optional)
- 20 x Jumbo shell noodles cooked and liquid removed Basic marinara sauce of choice (add in:)
- 1/4 c. White wine
- 1/2 tsp Dry basil
- 1/4 tsp Chopped garlic
Directions
- In skillet brown sausage crumbled and onion. Transfer to large bowl. Allow to slightly cold. Add in spinach, cream cheese, egg, 1 c. mozzarella, cheddar, cottage cheese, parmesan. add in seasonings. Mix well. Stuff cooked shells, arrange in 13 x 9 in baking dish. Spoon sauce over shells. Reserve some sauce for serving. Cover and bake 40 min. Uncover sprinkle with remaining mozzarella, return to oven for 5 - 8 min till cheese melts 8 10 servings
