Ingredients

  • 3 lb Round Steak 1/2" Thick
  • 2 lb Potatoes
  • 8 ounce Tomato Sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd Cumin
  • 1 x Large Clove Garlic Smashed Water

Directions

  1. Cut round steak into cubes and brown in shortening in heavy skillet or possibly Dutch oven. Peel and cube potatoes (approximately in 1/2-inch cubes).
  2. Once meat is slight browned add in potatoes and continue to brown. (Do not worry if it sticks to the bottom of the skillet. Add in tomato sauce, salt, pepper, cumin pwdr and garlic. Add in Approcimately ONE c. of water and simmer till meat and potatoes are tender. Potatoes will thicken sauce.
