Carne Adovada (Marinated Pork)
Ingredients
- 4 x Cloves garlic
- 2 x Recipes Chile Caribe*
- 1 Tbsp. Salt
- 5 lb Lean pork steaks
- 1 Tbsp. Oregano
- 1 x -(up to)
- 2 c. Water
- 8 x -(up to)
- 10 x Toasted dry red chile pods
Directions
- 1. Add in garlic, salt, and oregano to chile caribe.
- 2. Place pork steaks in large, glass baking dish and pour chile caribe mix over steaks. Cover and regrigerate for 8-24 hrs.
- 3. Place liquid removed, marinated steaks in a 350 F oven and roast for 40-60 min. Serve with heated remaining chile caribe.
- Chile Caribe (Chile Concentrate):1. Place water and chile pods in large saucepan. Heat to boiling on high heat.
- 2. Pour mix into a blender container and process to a smooth consistency.
- NOTE: Chile Caribe may be used as a base for any chile recipe.
