CARAMEL APPLE cRISP
Ingredients
- FILLING:
- 5 Granny Smith Apples - peeled and cored
- 1/2 cup cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 4oz package soft caramels
- TOPPING:
- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup flour
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 stick softened butter
Directions
- 1. Preheat oven to 350. 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish. Spray with non stick cooking spray
- 2. For the filling:
- 3. Toss the apples with cinnamon, vanilla, apple cider and lemon juice together in a large bowl.
- 4. Add to baking dish
- 5. Unwrap caramels and place on top of apples.
- 6. For the topping
- 7. In a medium bowl mix oats, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon.
- 8 . Add butter together with the oats, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon.
- 9. Scatter the topping evenly over the apple mixture.
- 10. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top.
- 11. Bake in over 45-60 minutes.
