    0 votes

    Ingredients

    • 2 1/2 tsp Yeast
    • 2 c. Bread flour
    • 1 c. Whole wheat flour
    • 1 1/2 x Garlic cloves, crushed
    • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Sugar
    • 1/2 Tbsp. Salt
    • 1/4 c. Parmesan, grated
    • 3 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
    • 4 x Anchovies, minced
    • 1/2 tsp Lemon peel, grated
    • 1 1/2 c. Sourdough starter
    • 1/2 c. Water, hot

    Directions

    1. Bring all ingredients to room temperature and pour into bakery, in order.
    2. Set "baking control" at 10 o'clock. Select "white bread" and push Start.
    3. In warm & humid weather, use 1/8 c less water.
    4. If Caesar made bread instead of salad dressing, this would be it. Sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes or possibly tuna salad, or possibly serve it with a green salad.
    5. For an hors d'oeuvre, toast slices and top with steak tartare or possibly a sliver of rare roast beef. The crusty ends can be cut into croutons, toasted in a frying pan, and tossed in a salad.
