Ingredients

  • 1 c. Self raising flour
  • 1/2 c. Chopped cooked Bunya Nuts
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. Minced parsley
  • 1 pch Salt
  • 1 x Squeeze lemon juice Water
  • 4 x Large eggs
  • 1/2 c. Light cream or possibly lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. Grated cheese
  • 3 x Bacon rashers, (minced)
  • 1 1/2 c. Chopped boiled Bunya Nuts
  • 1 pch nutmeg Paprika Salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Pastry:Combine flour, Bunya Nuts, parsley and salt. Rub in butter. Add in lemon juice and sufficient cool water to mix to a hard consistency. Roll out pastry to fit tart plate or possibly flan dish. Prick all over with fork and cook in moderate oven for 10 min. Remove and cold.
  2. Filling:Sprinkle bacon and cheese in tart shell. Beat Large eggs, cream and nutmeg together. Fold in Bunya Nuts. Add in salt and pepper to taste. Pour over bacon and cheese. Cook in a moderate oven for 40 min, or possibly till filling is hard.
  3. Garnish with paprika.
  4. Serves 6.
