  • Bulgar Burgers

    Ingredients

    • 4 c. Water
    • 2 c. Bulghur
    • 2 Tbsp. Oil
    • 1 x Onion -- diced
    • 2 x Beets -- grated
    • 2 x Carrots -- diced
    • 1/2 head cabbage -- minced fine
    • 3 Tbsp. Tamari
    • 1 tsp Garlic pwdr

    Directions

    1. In a large pot, heat the water to a boil. Add in the bulghur, reduce heat, and cook for 20 min, till the bulghur is soft anf the water is absorbed.
    2. Set aside. Preheat oven to 350. Heat the oil in a large skillet, over medium-high heat; add in the onions and saute/fry for 3 min. Add in the beets, carrots and cabbage, and saute/fry for 7 min more. Add in the seasonings.
    3. Remove from heat and combine with the bulghur. Shape the batter into burgers to fit buns. Place on oiled cookie sheet, and bake for 20 min; turn over and bake for 29 min more.
