  • Brussels Sprouts And Onions With Dill

    Ingredients

    • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
    • 6 sm White onions, (each about 1 inch in diameter), quartered lengthwise and peeled
    • 12 x Brussels sprouts, quartered lengthwise and trimmed
    • 1/4 c. Water
    • 1 tsp Sugar
    • 1 tsp Chopped fresh dill plus 2 sprigs for garnish

    Directions

    1. In a 10-inch heavy skillet heat oil over moderately high heat till warm but not smoking and saute/fry onions and Brussel sprouts, stirring, till onions begin to turn golden brown, about 1 1/2 min. Add in water, sugar and salt and pepper to taste and cook, covered, over moderately low heat till vegetables are just tender, about 3 min. If any liquid remains, boil mix till nearly all liquid is evaporated and stir in chopped dill. Garnish vegetables with dill sprigs.
    2. Serves 2.
