Brussel Sprouts With Balsamic Vinegar

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb Fresh brussel sprouts
  • 2 tsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 x Cloves garlic, peeled and sl
  • 1 x Medium yellow onion, peeled
  • 1/4 c. Balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp Butter
  • 1 x Salt and freshly grnd blac

Directions

  1. Trim off the stems and remove any limp leaves from the Brussel Sprouts. Blanch the sprouts in boiling water to cover for 5 min. Drain and rinse under cool water to stop the cooking. Heat a large frying pan and add in the extra virgin olive oil, garlic and onion. Saute/fry a few min till the onion just becomes tender. Add in the blanched liquid removed Brussel Sprouts. Saute/fry a few min till the Brussel Sprouts are cooked to your liking.
  2. Add in the vinegar and toss so which all the sprouts are coated with the vinegar. Add in the butter and salt and pepper to taste and toss together again.
