Ingredients

  • 226 gm butter
  • 200 gm cocoa Hershey's (or possibly Bitter chocolate)
  • 8 x Large eggs at room temperature
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 4 c. Brown sugar (I used 2 c. White sugar with good Results)
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 c. + 2 Tbls. white flour
  • 2 c. Minced walnuts

Directions

  1. Preheat oven at 350F In a heavy pan, over low heath heat butter with cocoa (do not let it boil). Let it cold. Whip Large eggs & salt. Add in sugar and vanilla using electric mixer. Using a wooden spoon mix Large eggs with chocolate mix. Add in flour & walnuts Bake in two greased 9" x 13" pans for 25 min.
  2. Cold for two hrs before cutting in squares.
  3. Makes 48. You mightneed to modify slightly the recipe as this ingredients are for Mexico City at 2240 meters.
