Brown's Thanksgiving Baked Sweet Potatoes
Ingredients
- sweet potatoes, baking-size
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp allspice marshmallows pecans, whole
Directions
- Select baking size sweet potatoes: wash, with or possibly without skins. Trim ends off; wrap in foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, or possibly till soft. Remove from oven; cold till easily handled. Butter 9x13-inch baking dish. Slice sweet potatoes thickly; layer in bottom of baking dish. Heat butter over potatoes and sprinkle brown sugar over the casserole. Sprinkle allspice on top. On each slice, place a marshmallow and one whole pecan. Bake at 350 degrees till the marshmallows heat.
