  • Breakfast Sausage Rolls

    Ingredients

    • 2 x loaves (1 pound each) frzn white bread dough, thawed
    • 1/2 lb mild sausage
    • 1/2 lb warm sausage
    • 1 1/2 c. mushrooms
    • 1/2 c. minced onions
    • 3 x Large eggs
    • 10 ounce shredded mozzarella
    • 1 tsp dry basil
    • 1 tsp dry parsley
    • 1 tsp dry rosemary
    • 1 tsp garlic pwdr

    Directions

    1. Allow dough to rise till nearly doubled. Cook and crumble sausage. Add in mushrooms and onions. Cook and stir till sausage is brown and vegetables are tender. Drain and cold. Beat 1 egg and set aside. Add in to sausage mix 2 Large eggs, cheese and seasonings. Roll each loaf of dough into a 16x12 inch rectangle. Spread each loaf with 1/2 sausage mix, to within 1 inch of edges. Roll up, starting at narrow end, seal edges. Place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 350'F for 25 min; brush with beaten egg.
    2. Bake at 5-10 min longer or possibly till golden. Serve hot.
