  • Breakfast Sausage Casserole

    Ingredients

    • 1 pkt fresh breakfast sausage - (12 ounce) cooked, liquid removed, and crumbled
    • 4 c. cubed day-old bread
    • 2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese - (8 ounce)
    • 2 can Nestle Carnation Evaporated Lowfat milk (12 ounce ea)
    • 10 lrg Large eggs lightly beaten
    • 1 tsp dry mustard
    • 1/4 tsp onion pwdr Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste

    Directions

    1. Grease 13- by 9-inch baking dish. Place bread in prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese.
    2. Combine evaporated lowfat milk, Large eggs, dry mustard, onion pwdr and pepper in medium bowl. Pour proportionately over bread and cheese. Sprinkle with sausage. Cover; chill overnight.
    3. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
    4. Bake for 55 to 60 min or possibly till cheese is golden. Cover with foil if top browns too quickly.
    5. This recipe yields 8 to 10 servings.
