Breakfast Casserole

- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 4 slices white bread -- cut into 1/2 inch
- cubes
- 1 pound pork or turkey sausage -- browned and drained
- on paper towels
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese -- shredded.
Directions
- Beat eggs, add milk, salt and mustard, mixing well. Grease bottom of 9 x13 baking dish with softened butter. Layer in bread cubes, the sausage, then cheese. Pour egg mixture over the top. Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes. Let stand about 5 minutes before cutting.
- For 8 people use 5-6 slices of bread and 8 eggs.
