Bread Pudding With Brandy Sauce
Ingredients
- 12 slices white bread
- 4 Large eggs
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 (16 ounce.) can applesauce
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 egg white
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. whipping cream
- 1/3 c. brandy
Directions
- Cut bread in strips. Place 1/3 in a 11x7x2 inch pan. Top with mix of egg, sugar, lowfat milk, applesauce and cinnamon. Repeat layers. Bake 1 hour, 325 degrees.
- Brandy sauce: Beat egg white till stiff. Add in sugar, egg yolk, whipping cream, butter. Stir in brandy.
