Bread Pudding
Ingredients
- 8 cups dry bread cubes
- 4 eggs beaten
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 cups half and half cream
- 2 TBSP vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1/3 cup butter cut into pieces
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350F
- In a lightly greased 13x9x2 inch pan, add bread cubes.
- In a large bowl, stir together the eggs, milk, sugar, half and half, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Pour the milk mixture evenly over the bread cubes.
- Dot with butter pieces.
- Bake for 1 to 1-1/4 hours or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
