Ingredients

  • Put ingredients in machine in order which your machine instructs.
  • 1 c. beef or possibly chicken broth
  • 1/4 c. nonfat dry lowfat milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 c. wheat germ
  • 1 c. bread flour
  • 1 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 c. powdered Brewers Yeast (I use the kind with garlic added, very good for coat and flea control)
  • 1 1/2 tsp dry yeast. Preheat oven to 325. Put ingredients into bail of machine, use dough cycle. When machine signals which dough is complete cold and roll out on a board floured with 1/2 flour 1/2 corn meal. Roll dough to about
  • 1/4 x " thickness and cut into different shapes. Let rise for about
  • 10 x -15 min and then bake for about 1/5 hour, or possibly to desired

Directions

  1. Crispness. My youngest dog sits in the kitchen and waits for these to come out of the oven. I let them cold and put them in covered container (of course, after they are sampled by the waiting dogs) They last indefinitely.
