Ingredients

  • 6 lb Beef short ribs Oil Salt, pepper Flour
  • 1 lrg Onion, minced
  • 1 lrg Carrot, sliced
  • 2 x Celery stalks, minced
  • 8 ounce Tomato sauce

Directions

  1. Brown ribs in small amount of oil in Dutch oven. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and small amount of flour and continue to cook till browned on all sides.
  2. Add in onion, carrot, celery and tomato sauce. Pour boiling water over ribs to cover. Cover and cook till tender, 1 1/2 to 2 hrs.
