Braised Short Ribs
- 6 lb Beef short ribs Oil Salt, pepper Flour
- 1 lrg Onion, minced
- 1 lrg Carrot, sliced
- 2 x Celery stalks, minced
- 8 ounce Tomato sauce
- Brown ribs in small amount of oil in Dutch oven. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and small amount of flour and continue to cook till browned on all sides.
- Add in onion, carrot, celery and tomato sauce. Pour boiling water over ribs to cover. Cover and cook till tender, 1 1/2 to 2 hrs.
