• Blueberry Apple Crisp

    • 1 (20 ounce.) can sliced apples, liquid removed (or possibly use your own cooked apples)
    • 2 c. frzn fresh blueberries
    • 1/2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
    • 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
    • 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
    • 1/4 teaspoon grnd nutmeg
    • 3 tbsp. butter
    • Light cream (optional)


    1. In a 1 1/2 qt microwave safe casserole, combine the apples and the blueberries. Microwave cook, covered, at full power for 5 min, stirring fruit twice. In medium mixing bowl, stir together the oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cut in the butter till the mix resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle the crumb mix over the apples and blueberries. Cook, uncovered, on high for 4 to 5 min or possibly till fruit mix is heated through. Serve with cream. Makes 6 servings.
