Bing Cherry And Raspberry Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 c. Coarsely minced pitted Bing cherries
- 2 c. Fresh raspberries or possibly frzn unsweetened, thawed
- 1/4 c. Sugar
- 2 x Cinnamon sticks, broken in half
- 4 tsp Brandy
Directions
- Combine cherries, 1 c. raspberries, sugar and cinnamon in saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to boil, stirring till sugar dissolves.
- Reduce heat; simmer till cherries soften, about 15 min. Remove from heat.
- Stir brandy and 1 c. raspberries into sauce. Throw away cinnamon sticks.
- Serve hot or possibly at room temperature.
- Makes 2 1/2 c..
