Betty Carter's Refrigerator Pickles
Ingredients
- 12 lb very small cucumbers
- 1 x onion sliced
- 4 c. sugar
- 4 c. vinegar
- 1/2 c. salt
- 1 1/3 Tbsp. celery seed
- 1 1/3 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 1 1/3 tsp turmeric
Directions
- Slice cucumbers and onion and place in gallon jars. Mix remaining ingredients well. Pour mix over cucumbers. Screw lids on tightly. Place in refrigerator. Let stand 5 days before tasting. Will keep for a year.
