Beer Battered Fried Avocado Wedges With Salsa
Ingredients
- Commission Serves: 4
- 1 c. lager beer or possibly ale
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp paprika
- 2 x cloves garlic, minced finely
- 2 x California avocados Vegetable oil as needed for deep frying Salt as needed
- 1 c. purchased salsa
Directions
- To make beer batter, whisk together beer, flour, paprika, and garlic till well blended. Let stand at least 2 hrs.
- Peel avocados; cut each into 6 wedges. Dredge 6 wedges in reserved beer batter.
- Deep fry in warm oil till golden brown about 3 min. Repeat with remaining wedges.
- Serve 3 wedges with 1/4 c. salsa
