Beer Batter Bread
Ingredients
- 3 c. plus 2 tbsp. self-rising flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 (12 ounce.) can lite beer
- 1/2 c. raisins (optional)
- 2 tbsp. molasses
Directions
- Blend flour and sugar in large bowl. Add in the beer gradually and blend into the flour mix. Add in raisins and drizzle the molasses into batter with fork. Let the dough rest for 10 min. Grease loaf pan or possibly 1 1/2 qt casserole dish. Place dough in and bake about 50 min in 350 degree oven. Makes delicious toast.
