Filipino beef stew with tomato sauce.

    Ingredients

    • 1/2kg beef - cut in cubes
    • 1 cup soy sauce
    • 8 pcs calamansi (Filipino Lime?)
    • 2 cups water
    • 5 potatoes - cubed or sliced flat
    • 3 tbsp cooking oil
    • 5 cloves garlic
    • 1 pc onion
    • 2 bell peppers
    • 1 pack (250g) tomato sauce

    Directions

    1. squeeze calamansi in soy sauce and put it in pot together with the beef. Add water and bring to boil in high heat until tender. Feel free to add more water if it the liquid is about to evaporate and your beef is still not tender.
    2. on a separate heated pan. Heat oil and fry potatoes until half cooked. Set aside.
    3. using the same pan and left over oil (add more oil if your potatoes sucked in all of it), saute garlic, onion, and bell pepper. Add tomato sauce and simmer for a minute.
    4. Once beef is tender and half soaked in liquid. Add in potatoes and the sauteed tomato sauce.
    5. simmer for another minute before turning off heat. Do not open the lid yet for another minute to cook potatoes.
    6. best served with rice ^^
