Beef Brisket And Sauerkraut
Ingredients
- 4 lb brisket Warm water
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 quart sauerkraut
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 c. vinegar, mild
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 med potato, grated
- 1 tsp caraway seed
Directions
- Cover brisket with water; season. Simmer for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hrs. Add in sauerkraut, vinegar and brown sugar. Cook 1 hour longer. Add in potato and caraway seed. Cook 10 min longer.
- Yeild 6 to 8 servings.
