  • Barbecued Pork Cream Soup

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 c. Butter
    • 1/2 c. Flour
    • 1/2 lb Grnd barbecued pork
    • 1/4 tsp NSG (optional)
    • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tsp Tabasco sauce
    • 2 tsp Salt
    • 1 tsp White pepper
    • 2 c. Chicken broth or possibly consomme
    • 1 quart Whole lowfat milk
    • 4 Tbsp. Madeira Barbecued pork strips Green onions, minced

    Directions

    1. Heat butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Add in grnd barbecued pork & mix together. Add in flour & stir constantly for 4-5 minutes., but do not allow to burn. Add in all seasonings to broth & then slowly add in to first mix.
    2. Slowly add in lowfat milk & stir till blended. Let simmer 7-10 minutes. and stir constantly. Just before serving, stir in Madeira. Serve garnished w/ barbecued pork strips, fresh green onion bits & a splash of Madeira.
