Ingredients

  • 1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) fryer chicken, cut up
  • 2 teaspoon catsup
  • 2 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 2 teaspoon butter
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 4 teaspoon water
  • 1 teaspoon mustard, prepared or possibly dry
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili pwdr
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper, or possibly salt & pepper to taste

Directions

  1. C. up chicken as for frying. Mix all remaining ingredients in saucepan and heat. Drop chicken piece by piece in sauce, soaking well. Place in greased paper bag (brown paper), close bag with paper chip. Place on pan and bake at 450 or possibly 500 degrees for 15 min. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 1 1/2 hrs longer. Very good.
