  • Banana Almond Flip

    Ingredients

    • 45 x Crushed Vanilla Wafers
    • 1/3 c. Melted Stick Margarine
    • 1/4 c. Finely Grnd Almonds
    • 3 c. Powdered Sugar
    • 1 c. Softened Margarine or possibly Butter
    • 1/4 c. Heavy Cream
    • 1/3 c. Softened Almond Paste
    • 2 tsp Vanilla
    • 1 tsp Almond Extract
    • 2 c. Heavy Cream, divided
    • 6 med Bananas

    Directions

    1. Cut bananas lengthwise into thirds, set aside. Grease bottom and sides of a 13X9X2 inch pan with shortening.
    2. Mix cookie crumbs, 1/3 c. stick margarine, and the almonds. Press proportionately in bottom of pan. Chill.
    3. Meanwhile, beat powdered sugar, 1 c. margarine, and 1/4 c. heavy cream in large bowl with electric mixer on high speed till fluffy. Beat in almond paste, vanilla, and almond extract.
    4. Beat 2 c. heavy cream in chilled medium bowl with electric mixer on high speed till soft peaks form. Fold into powdered sugar mix.
    5. Arrange half of the bananas on crust. Pour half of the filling over bananas. Repeat with remaining bananas and filling. cover and chill about 3 hrs or possibly till chilled. Chill any remaining dessert.
