Baked Ziti

- 12 oz. uncooked ziti pasta
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. ground Italian sausage
- 1- 28 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
- 2 eggs
- 1- 15 oz container of ricotta cheese
- 2 1/2 cups (10 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese divided
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, in a skillet, cook beef and sausage over medium heat.
- Drain fat.
- Stir in spaghetti sauce.
- In a bowl, combine eggs, ricotta, 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese.
- Drain pasta and add to cheese mixture and toss to coat.
- Spoon a third of the meat sauce into a greased 13x9x2 inch baking dish.
- Top with 1/2 of the pasta mixture.
- Repeat layers.
- Top with remaining meat mixture.
- Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
- Uncover and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Bake, uncovered, for 5-10 minutes longer or until the cheese is melted.
- Let stand 15 minutes before serving. Yield: serves 12
