    Ingredients

    • 12 oz. uncooked ziti pasta
    • 1 lb. ground beef
    • 1 lb. ground Italian sausage
    • 1- 28 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
    • 2 eggs
    • 1- 15 oz container of ricotta cheese
    • 2 1/2 cups (10 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese divided
    • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Cook pasta according to package directions.
    3. Meanwhile, in a skillet, cook beef and sausage over medium heat.
    4. Drain fat.
    5. Stir in spaghetti sauce.
    6. In a bowl, combine eggs, ricotta, 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese.
    7. Drain pasta and add to cheese mixture and toss to coat.
    8. Spoon a third of the meat sauce into a greased 13x9x2 inch baking dish.
    9. Top with 1/2 of the pasta mixture.
    10. Repeat layers.
    11. Top with remaining meat mixture.
    12. Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
    13. Uncover and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese.
    14. Bake, uncovered, for 5-10 minutes longer or until the cheese is melted.
    15. Let stand 15 minutes before serving. Yield: serves 12
