  • Baked Tofu And Rice Patties

    Ingredients

    • 1 c. Tofu, mashed
    • 1 c. Brown rice, cooked
    • 1/2 c. Celery, chopped
    • 2 x Garlic cloves, chopped
    • 1 Tbsp. Nutritional yeast
    • 1 Tbsp. Peanut butter
    • 2 Tbsp. Shoyu or possibly tamari
    • 1/2 tsp Sesame oil, toasted (opt)
    • 1/2 tsp Sage
    • 4 Tbsp. Whole wheat pastry flour, as needed

    Directions

    1. Place all ingredients, except for the flour, in a medium-sized bowl and mix well. Using your hands, shape the mix into 6 patties. Press firmly so which the patties hold together well.
    2. Dredge both sides of each patty in the flour and palce them on a well-oiled cookie sheet.
    3. Bake the patties at 400 deg for 25-30 min, or possibly till they are golden. Turn the patties over halfway through the baking.
    4. Serve them with the sauce of your choice, acompanied by a steamed vegetable and a salad.
