Ingredients

  • 3 – 3 ½ Lbs. Beef for stew
  • 24 Celery stalks, cut up
  • 24 Carrots
  • 3 t. Salt
  • Pinch of pepper
  • Mix together
  • 6 T. Sugar
  • 12 T. Tapioca Pudding
  • 12 Potatoes, large, peeled and sliced
  • 10 Onions, large and sliced
  • 4 ½ C. Tomato juice

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Put meat in a roasting pan. Add celery, carrots and the next four ingredients over meat. Put sliced potatoes over this. Pour tomato juice over this. Top with sliced onions.
  3. Cover and bake for 4 ½ hours, or until tender.
  4. Makes four 4-person meals.
